As a mother of 5 and previous serial churner ;), I understand the unique journey of woven wraps and exactly what it takes to revive them. My goal is simple: to restore your treasured pieces so they feel and look as close to their original glory as possible.

The Soak Fairy Spa Experience
A spa treatment is much more than a basic wash. Everyday babywearing naturally exposes your wraps to dust, drool, spit, food spills, and outdoor elements. Over time, this daily buildup settles deep into the fabric fibers, which can dull the wrap's natural shine, affect its softness, and even make your precious wraps a snack for fabric-loving critters if left unwashed.
At my spa, I treat every woven wrap as a unique piece of textile art. Because every blend, age, and wear history is different, I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all cycle. I conduct a detailed tactile and visual assessment to give your wrap exactly what it needs to revive its beauty, drape, and structural safety.
Timeline & Photo Updates
The entire restoration process takes up to 7 days.
Please note that while I do not typically send updates during the middle of the washing process, I will immediately message you with photos if your wrap's initial condition differs from what was described. Once the spa treatment is complete, you will receive a final after-wash photo of your refreshed wrap right before it travels back home to you!
I will also include a report in your return parcel, this can come in handy when you want to sell your wrap in the future, or when there are questions about the condition of a wrap.
Note that I can only access the current state of a wrap, and can never answer questions about possible mistreatment or wrong use in the past.
Step 1: Inspection & Precision Repairs
Before your wrap ever touches the water, I carefully inspect the fabric for perma-creases, hidden damage, and stubborn stains so I can target them during the wash.
- Included Repairs: I automatically fix up to 2 broken threads or 2 large pulls, along with all the tiny pulls I find across the fabric.
- Transparent Communication: If I discover more than 2 large pulls or broken threads during my assessment, I will contact you beforehand to discuss additional repair fees before proceeding.
Step 2: Custom Washing & Targeted Treatments
I handwash your wrap using gentle, scent-free products chosen specifically for your wrap's unique fiber composition. Depending on what my initial assessment reveals, your custom wash may include:
- Tailored pH Resets: Hard tap water and improper past washing can leave natural fibers feeling stiff or rough. When needed, I apply a gentle acid rinse to close the fiber cuticles, neutralize mineral residue, and restore natural softness.
- Deep Conditioning: Thirsty protein fibers like delicate silks and fine wools, often lose their natural hydration over years of love. I use specialized conditioning treatments to deeply nourish dry fibers from the inside out without leaving heavy residues.
- Thorough Rinsing: I rinse the wrap repeatedly in clean, soap-free water until the water runs completely clear.
Step 3: Finishing, Hand-Defuzzing & Shine Restoration
Once the fabric has air-dried completely, I perform a meticulous finishing treatment:
- Hand-Defuzzing: Normal friction causes surface pilling and fuzz that obscures your wrap's pattern. I carefully defuzz the fabric surface by hand, smoothing the texture and bringing back a crisp aesthetic.
- Pressing & Steaming: I press and gently steam the wrap at a low temperature to align the micro-fibers, restoring its signature sleekness and natural shine.
Fixing Critterdamage
It will never be the same again but damage control is a must. You don’t want that tiny hole to become a giant tear. I will fix the damage in the best way possible in the same color as the yarn those critters ate up. you will not see my fix on the other side of the wrap, unless it was damaged on both sides. Please note that I can never guarantee baby wearing safety of damaged wraps after fixing as you sometimes can't see or feel the integrity of the wrap is compromised.
At the moment I am taking limited bookings for this service due to the impact this work has on my hands.
Fringe your Ringsling
Fringes are a classy, timeless addition to any woven textile, and adding them is often a brilliant, practical solution for removing or disguising critter damage at the tails. Or, of course, just because fringed wraps look incredible!
I carefully hand-fringe your wrap and professionally lock the threads to ensure your new edge stays secure and durable through wear and washing.
Fringing Options & Details
- Versatile Application: I offer fringing for ring slings, baby blankets, or full-length wraps.
- Pricing Structure: Price indications are based on one side (Full Width Wrap / FWW). If you would like both ends fringed, the fee is doubled. The price is 40 Euro per side (fww)
- Straightening & Scraps: If a wrap needs to be cut straight before the fringing process begins, all leftover fabric scraps are carefully packaged and returned to you with your completed item.

Occasionally, I breathe new life into beautiful woven scraps by making custom scarves from high-end leftovers.
I frequently work with premium scrap fabrics from beloved brands and often have pieces in stock or available for custom purchase upon request, including:

Structural Mending & Custom Alterations

Due to the high demand for my care services, advanced structural repairs and custom alterations are exclusively available as an add-on when booking a spa treatment.
Structural Mending (Holes & Tears)
Upon request, I can mend holes and tears by carefully anchoring new threads into the surrounding sound, healthy fabric to reconstruct the damaged area.
- Safety Over Aesthetics: Please note that structural mending is performed strictly to reinforce the integrity of the fabric so the wrap can potentially be used again, rather than for seamless visual invisibility.
- Important Safety Disclaimer: If a woven wrap or carrier has begun to show general fiber fatigue, structural weakness due to age, or damage from external factors, I cannot be held responsible if the fabric tears or fails in other locations or along the perimeter of the newly mended area. Using repaired wrap fabric for babywearing is strictly at your own risk. Due to safety regulations, I cannot guarantee the load-bearing safety of a compromised or structurally mended carrier.
Because every repair is unique, advanced mending and custom alterations are priced individually upon visual assessment.
